Two different tools. A proof answers one question and stops. A view key opens a scoped, expiring window — and you see exactly what it opens before you sign it.

One-shot proofs

  • “This invoice was paid”

    SHOWS
    A yes, tied to the invoice reference
    HIDES
    Which account paid, from what balance, and when

  • “This account controls at least 1,000 tUSDG”

    SHOWS
    That the threshold is met
    HIDES
    The actual balance, and everything above the threshold

  • “This account has an active membership”

    SHOWS
    Membership status only
    HIDES
    Payment history, tier, and every other holding

  • “This payment occurred inside the reporting period”

    SHOWS
    That the timestamp falls in the window
    HIDES
    The exact time, the amount, and the counterparty

Access ends after 7 days and can be revoked before then. Revocation stops future reads; it cannot un-see what was already read.

Nothing granted. When you sign a view key it appears here, with the ability to revoke it.

LIMITRevoking stops future reads. It cannot un-see anything a viewer has already read, and it cannot stop them keeping their own copy of it.
